RAISING THE ELECTRET PRINCIPLE TO A NEW LEVEL

The KK 14 captures the signature sound of acoustic instruments with unmatched precision and neutrality. It overcomes former limitations of the electret principle to deliver a wider bass and mid-range, and a confident elegance in the treble. Whether quiet nuances or the peak dynamics of a strong fortissimo: With a maximum SPL of 153, the KK 14 is open to all details.

THE 8 PARTS OF PERFECTION

To get there, Neumann engineers rethought the production process for electret-based microphones. Where classic solutions rely on highly integrated designs, Neumann chose a layered structure. Every module of the KK 13 (omni) and KK 14 (cardioid) is built and designed to deliver the perfect result. The components are then assembled by hand in Germany. This eliminates typical compromises and opens the spectrum for formerly unmatched acoustic qualities. While the titanium housing is one ingredient to a road-tough design, it is also an expression of the inner elegance in design and engineering.

TONAL CONSISTANCY AND ROAD-TOUGH DESIGN

The layered design also delivers a yet unheard level of tonal consistency ‒ every capsule sounds exactly the same. It saves engineers the time needed for basic EQing and delivers consistent sound right from the early soundcheck.

As a part of the Neumann Miniature Clip Mic MCM System, the new series comes with an unparalleled low cost of ownership. The system is designed for years instead of just a season. Its modular design also allows for easy replacements. Nine mounting clips allow for reliable positioning on any instrument while staying gentle to every surface. The system connects to all the important wireless systems and includes cable options for a 3.5 mm jack, Lemo, 4-pin mini-XLR, MicroDot, or wired connection.
